SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) is a payment-integration initiative of the European Union that covers 33 countries in Europe. With SEPA, customers will be able to make cashless euro payments from one single bank account to anybody else in SEPA.
SEPA has been designed to improve the efficiency of cross-border payments, and make it easier for organisations to do business throughout the eurozone. It hopes to achieve this by standardising the different payment methods that individual countries use.
