Locksmith industry is coming with a long history and it is one of the oldest professions in the world. The oldest locks were found in ancient Egypt way back 4000 years and were made from carved wood. The early Egyptians locksmith technology was simple and less sophisticated and it only needed a sickle shaped key in opening and closing the locks. It is the ancient Romans who started making locks using metals which were made using iron mostly and featured ornate designs. Since the late eastern Han dynasty, the Chinese used padlocks in safeguarding their valuables and it is only during the 14th century, the locksmith guild was established. And since then, like this way the locksmith industry and the locksmiths improved to fit according to the modern and developing ways of life and needs. It is how we have come to the state of security we are at today where rather than a simple door and a lock where by a little twist around the knob will open; we now have high tech locking systems which include voice, touch, and finger print, and retina, motion and sense recognition.
