Victoza (liraglutide) is a drug used to control blood sugar levels in type-2 diabetes patients. It is administered through a once-daily injection that works by increasing insulin while making the stomach feel fill. In January 2010, the FDA approved Victoza for sale on the market by its manufacturer, Novo Nordisk. The drug made over $2.3 billion in sales in its first year on the market and in 2012 it had over $9.4 million in sales.
