When the Colts hired new head coach Chuck Pagano everyone knew that change was coming to Indianapolis. As the former Defensive Coordinator of the Baltimore Ravens they also know he is going to place an emphasis on defense. However, not just any defense. For years the Colts have run a traditional 4-3 defensive scheme, but Pagano prefers the 3-4. Not all players that were effective in the 4-3 will be able to make the transition. A lot of attention has been placed on Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis questioning how they will be able to adapt.
