The minimum age limits for appearing for the IAS exams as on August 1st is twenty-one years. In the general category, the maximum age limit is thirty-two years. In the OBC category, the maximum age limit is increased to thirty-five years. In the case of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes, the upper age limit again increases to thirty-seven years. For ex-servicemen who have a minimum of 5 years of service, the upper age limit for applying for IAS is thirty-seven years. When it comes to disabled, mute, deaf, or blind people, the upper age limits are much more relaxed. Their age limit is forty-two years. These are the limits within which a person can apply for an IAS and get selected for the coveted post.
