Before the pandemic, most of the education system functioned as it always had. But, as Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character—that is the goal of true education.” Over the years, the curriculum has changed, but how it is taught remained the same.
Teachers needed to reinvent what it means to “think intensively and critically” in the digital age. In 2020, when the world stopped, and schools were closed, teachers and students needed to adapt to online learning quickly. We’re now in the digital age, a period in which technology is everywhere and constantly transforming everything around us.
The education system is no exception to this change. For the past few years, technology has been rapidly changing the way we approach learning. A few years ago, there were online assessments and digital modules. Now, students are participating in online classes. Education continues to evolve as modernization progresses.
