Top UK Theme Parks

There are more than 40 theme parks in the UK, from the expansive 910-acre Alton Towers with its superb collection of rides, to the massively popular Legoland. Situated around the country, these parks offer a great day out for the whole family. As far as attendance figures go, Legoland is the most visited, attracting 2.2 million people in 2018. Alton Towers is next in the list and also drew more than 2 million visitors for the same period.

Other major UK theme parks include Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures – the latter features a zoo that’s home to more than 1000 animals from around the world. Gulliver’s World in North England offers the most rides of any theme park in Britain – there are currently 59. Blackpool Pleasure Beach is considered a top theme park too and boasts ten high-adrenalin thrill rides. Highlights include the Big One (the UK’s highest) and the classic wooden roller-coaster, Grand National.
